150 rain barrels~27 classrooms~2000 participants
The Potomac Project launched at a Charles County, Maryland community workshop in June 2016. One hundred and fifty rain barrels were painted at community workshops and in classrooms giving individuals of all ages the opportunity to learn more about local water resources and how stormwater runoff concerns can be minimized through rain barrels. All rain barrels were installed into local infrastructure to help with stormwater runoff into the Potomac River.
